An office refurbishment project for The Chestnut Group, where Acorn Works were asked to improve the design and layout of the client’s workspace.
The Chestnut Group runs and manages a selection of top East Anglia pubs and restaurants from their converted barn HQ situated between Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.
The project objective was to not only fit more people into the available space, but also to create spaces that better suited the way staff worked.
2D & 3D designs were created to provide the client with visual aids on the various layout configurations. The 3D designs made decision-making easier and allowed our client to ‘see’ and better understand the different options that were available.

At the commencement of works, the client vacated the building for two days while we stripped out and disposed of the existing furniture, before new furniture was delivered and installed.
Thirteen new desk positions were installed including some popular sit/stand workstations. All desks had upholstered fabric divider desk screens and operator chairs.
Finally, a new custom-built storage wall was constructed using stock filing units and cupboards to suit the wall placement and existing fixed IT supplies and window modules.
