ID Toys of Norwich contacted Acorn Works late last year to help transform their new warehouse facility.

A new office and shop location were needed which would maintain as much of the warehousing area as possible. Our initial layout concepts and designs were focussed on using the space efficiently, as well as achieving the most suitable layout for business operations.

To negate losing floor/storage space, a new mezzanine floor was fitted over the proposed office and shop location. The mezzanine ensured that no storage space was lost from the current warehouse footprint as well as creating an area for long term stock to be stored.

Once the mezzanine was installed, new partition walls were constructed to form the shop and office area, inclusive of:

• doorways
• glazed modules
• suspended ceilings
• office flooring and
• decoration.

As part of this project we also installed slat walling for product display areas, shelving for product storage and a full electrical installation including heaters, ventilation and a CCTV system.
