Project Scope and Collaboration

Acorn Works embarked on this project with a collaborative approach, starting with an in-depth consultation session with the ECS Computers team. This initial phase allowed us to understand their vision for the space while integrating our expertise and creative design ideas. Together, we envisioned a transformation that would seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetics.

Design Concept and Presentation

We crafted a detailed 3D rendering to illustrate the proposed changes. Additionally, a comprehensive sample board showcased the intended finishes, ensuring the client could visualize the cohesive look and feel of the design. Throughout this phase, our focus remained on aligning the design with ECS Computers’ brand identity and operational needs.

Execution and Implementation

Upon approval of the proposed design, we cleared the existing space, providing a blank canvas for construction. Recognizing the historical significance of the building, formerly a bank, we preserved the original timber door set while modernizing its features. Additionally, we reintegrated a long-stored etched glass piece into the design, reinstating a sense of heritage.

Key enhancements included the construction of a bespoke serving counter featuring a timber slat plank front and illuminated signage. We also adorned a glazed unit with iconic images of local landmarks, fostering a sense of community. Furthermore, we automated the entrance doors, enhancing accessibility for visitors, and repurposed a custom lightbox to showcase the former bank sign as a striking feature.

Results and Impact

The revitalized customer entrance and office space now serve as a testament to ECS Computers’ commitment to innovation and customer experience. The integration of modern elements with historical charm has garnered acclaim from both clients and employees. This transformation not only elevates the physical environment but also reflects ECS Computers’ forward-thinking approach and dedication to their field.
