Make a great first impression with a comfortable and welcoming reception area
Reception desks, waiting areas, bespoke furniture, glass partition and external walls, sliding doors
Tips for a welcoming reception refurbishment
1. Embrace natural light
Space and light will help create a more welcoming aspect. Take advantage of any existing windows and be open to installing new glass entranceways, sky-lights and sliding doors to flood the space with natural light.
2. Take the weight off
Always running late? Make sure your customers and suppliers have somewhere comfy to sit while they’re waiting. Sofas and armchairs are a nice touch, as are coffee and tea facilities.
Don’t be afraid of re-modelling. Putting in a partition wall can shield the reception area from the main office space, improving privacy and reducing interruptions.
4. Think multi-purpose
Short on space? A reception area can also double up as a breakout area for informal team meetings.
Dramatic changes were a foot for this completely redesigned and refurbished reception area.
A new glass entranceway and sliding doors opened up the space, flooding it with natural light.
