Partition Walls
Bury St Edmunds - Partition Walls
For this partition wall project we were presented with a complete open plan area which required the introduction of a private office space, green room, meeting rooms and a training room whilst still preserving an open plan office area.
The open plan area is situated next to a machine shop causing sound to be a particular issue. We tackled this by applying a sound proof barrier to the wall using insulation, sounbloc plasterboard and a hung wall system.
The private offices were constructed using a 100mm partition wall system which also aided the sound proofing qualities. We stripped back the existing suspended ceiling in the area and providing inset new suspended ceilings to each area. Large Double glazed full height window modules were installed to the front of the offices to provide a flow of natural light and vision across the new office area.
As part of the install the existing electrical layout had to be edited to suit the new proposed workspace by allowing for new floor box locations near the proposed furniture plan.
We were also requested to match existing partitioning to provide separation within a larger office and split into two with a seamless finish. This meant matching the same aluminium colour and wall finish to make it seem it had always been installed there.
By adding partition walls to this open plan area in Bury St Edmunds, it has transformed a blank canvas into a multi-use work space.
