A new mezzanine and workshop fit out for this Norfolk engineering firm.
Based in Thetford, Multimatic’s European Technical Centre is a cutting edge facility for testing the components, systems and engineering services it supplies to the international automotive industry.
Multimatic has been a regular Acorn Works customer over the years, and last year we were asked to transform part of their large workshop into a separate simulation and testing facility.
A new large mezzanine floor was installed, taking into account the positioning of columns, a secondary staircase and existing machinery. Throughout the demolition and subsequent construction, careful measures were taken to prevent dust contamination of the rest of the facility.
Fire protection was fitted to the structure and double boarded partition walls were added to its underside. Custom black aluminium door frame and window sets were also installed with white laminate doors.
Decoration and flooring were completed throughout as well as new entrance doors fitted. Finally a kitchen and toilet facility were installed.
